Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge

Two posts in one day! I know, I was going to auto post these, but then I couldnt figure out how to make sure I entered them into the challenges I wanted. This is a fun little project I made this weekend with my BFF-for her daughters Kindergarten class. I used a pillow box die in my big shot, tore up paper inked the edges, punched out eyes with my bulid a owl punch by Stampin' Up! and added a fun little tag! Kristal's Challenge this week is a fall treat, and for cherevans studio. I thought this would be fun for the little one to take to school. I am not the original designer for this project, this idea is all over the net, and some other really cute takes on it too. But I thought I would share any way!

Just Me

This is the first layout I have ever done of myself. I didn't really want to post it, I showed it to a few friends and they thought it was good, not my normal style at all, but breaking out of my box. So I thought I would just go all out and enter it in theses challenges: http://scrappingeverydaymiracles.blogspot.com/ Challenge #8. must have a picture of you, and handwritten journaling . I always hide my hand writing on tags behind my photos... sorry I just could not break that comfort zone! Baby steps I guess!
I also am sending this over to http://simonsaysstampschallenge.blogspot.com/  its anything goes!!!
and finally to http://kcclayoutchallenges.blogspot.com/2011/09/lmcb-57-frames-and-flowers.html they have a frames and flowers challenge. Ok, here it is....

Sew Easy Cheer Skirt!

I wanted to show you a fun little project made from a tee shirt! I needed a little cheer skirt for my 3 year old, and I did not want to pay the 40 bucks at the sports store. So I googled and found a tutorial for a really cute skirt from here I thought this would be just what we needed! I ran to Michaels, and grabbed a tee, and asked my Aunt Marilyn to sew it for me. I cant sew to save my life. Here is what she made for me! Emma loved it, and it was a really fast project! I say it took about 30 minutes! Thank you Antie Marilyn! Emma looked so cute, and she was so proud to get to look like one of the big cheerleaders! Her face painting was done by my husband. He airbrushed it on with some water soluable paints, with a stencle I made from the cricut I used Birthday Bash letters! It says "GO" on one cheek and "FHS" ( the high school) on the other!

the last layouts of summer

I have been working on finishing up my summer layouts and mini albums for the kids, I have not even had a chance to start on fall yet, but I thought I would show you a layout of Iyla this summer at my parents beach house. We spend alot of time there just enjoying the water.
For this layout I used We R Memory keepers line from this summer, I just love the bright blue and red. I also used some basic cardstock from the craft store and Kristal's stamps. Splash-tastic Summer (They were my go to summer set!) And some very cute Peachy Keen stamps, The Princess Faces.

For the hop today, I've created a football game mini album. If its fall its football season, here in my small home town we all have serious school spirit. We sport the school colors and the mascot on our cars, clothes and pack out our stadium when its a home game. If you don't get there early, don't count on sitting! Its standing room only, so the kids head down to the track to root from there, that gives tons of photo opps and the kids take tons!!!  So I thought I would make a few albums for the kids to keep their game memories in.... I'm going to enter this over at CCR they have a sports challenge over there!

OK, this is just a few pages of my mini- didn't want to bog you down with pics!! But I just love it. Ive been given the thumbs up from several of my kids friends that they think it is super cute and fun! I have 3 more cut out and ready to put together- phew I think I am going to be busy for awhile!!!  Alright for my blog candy, A fun BO BUNNY Surprise!!! School Pride Face paint

This past Friday night was our High Schools first home game. This is a huge deal in our small community, every one rallys and shows support for our teams. My husband had a great idea and told me to text the niece Zabrina and our high school  kids and have a few friends over for a pre football face painting party. I cut out some letters on my cricut, he got out his air compresser and spray gun and we painted some fun for the kids! This is a picture of my oldest, our high school is named after our town, and all the kids were wearing their "hometown" sweatshirts and tees- The kids had a blast-every one loved the kids face painting and I have a ton of scrap pictures!! WOOT WOOT!! It was a win-win!

Teddy bear blog hop!

Good Morning- Happy Friday! Im here today with the Teddy Bear blog hop! If you are just finding the hop or just stopping by please start over at http://www.jenscraftcorner.com/ Our Hostess Jen has us hopping with a teddy bear theme in honnor of Teddy Roosevelt! Here is more on the history of National Teddy Bear Day

(Taken from: http://www.festivology.com/topics/teddy.html)

Teddy bears are, of course, named after US President Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt. The name came about after a 1902 hunting expedition. The hunt had found no game, so at the end of the day someone brought out a baby bear and suggested that Roosevelt might like to shoot it instead. Roosevelt understandably felt that this was not exactly sporting and refused. The incident was illustrated in a newspaper cartoon entitled "Drawing the Line" - which also referred to the political situation at the time. An enterprising New York toymaker saw an opportunity and brought out a cute stuffed bear named "Teddy's Bear". The rest, as the say, is history.
Here is my bear for the hop! I used a Peachy Keen stamp for his face, the paper is Simplicity by Nancie Rowe-Janitz at http://www.fancypantsdesigns.com/  I am also going to enter this little guy into the Peachy keen challenge over at PK.

Thank you for stopping and hopping with us today, below is a list of the members of the hop!

Guest Designer Decorate To Celebrate!

Today is a great day! I get to be a guest designer over at Decorate to Celebrate! This weeks theme is anything goes! So FUN!! I decided to do a project for my son to ask a date to Homecoming. At his school, the boys find special ways to ask the girls to the dance. I talked it over with my niece who is in the same grade as Carter, and we decided a scavenger hunt was a safe bet! She would go with the girl to make sure all the clues were found and would take pictures for me! Isn't she a super kid!! (I told her I would make her a mini to match her homecoming dress.) Look for more projects with this theme in the future! OK, So I made the first clue the tux. The tux has a pull out paper with a little clue to send her to the next clue, the
dress. When she reaches the second clue spot, she will get a mocha and the dress clue. This sends her to another clue over to our sweet shop in our town where she will get a truffle and the next clue..the box. Inside the box, is a scroll and the final clue to where my son will be. He will be over at the town fountain with a rose that matches with the ones on the clues. I have the trusted opinion from my niece that this will be a hit with the girl he asks for a date!

You all made this a very special birthday. Thank you to all the ladies of the hop. Thank you for taking the time to join in with a project. I read you every day, you all inspire me!
